Here you find details on keeping and breeding of our turtle species:

Besides information and hints for turtle keepers there is a small selection of photographs of our turtles. In addition we provide you with information on zoos in Germany and neighbouring countries. A complete list of turtles is also there as a handy reference.
Please note that the english pages will become available only gradually!



Altogether, about 220 eggs of Kinosternon odoratum (Sternotherus odoratus, Common Musk Turtle) have hatched during 11 years. We have also succeeded in breeding Chinemys reevesii and Chrysemys picta belli after long attempts.
